For Immediate Release - (November 24th, 2020):
The Ohio Army National Guard is now a partner of Esports Ohio
ESPORTS OHIO, the premiere state-wide high school esports nonprofit organization in Ohio is proud to announce their partnership with the Ohio Army National Guard. This partnership will help support the over 130 current Esports Ohio high school member schools and over 2,600 student participants as well as all future school and student participants to compete this year completely FREE of charge!
With this partnership Esports Ohio and the Ohio Army National Guard will open up doors for students to have an opportunity to compete remotely and in person under the supervision of their school’s approved coach for the entire 2020-21 school year. With the uncertainty of schools reopening this fall, we are excited to be able offer these FREE competitive opportunities to all Ohio high school students.
Esports Ohio Fall will offer two seasons this school year with in person and remote play opportunities for all high schools across the state. The competition for each season will take place over a seven week period and school districts will have the opportunity to compete in seven different games leading into a finals tournament. Esports Ohio and member schools will be broadcasting live weekly competitions over the Esports Ohio Twitch Channel - https://www.twitch.tv/esports_ohio.
