Meet the Speakers

Coach Nate Meeker is the Director of esports at the University of Akron. He will be speaking on how to transition your players up from the high school level to the collegiate level. What are the differences between the different HS and Collegiate levels of competition. 

Nick Rackley is the head coach of Bluffton high school. Nick has been a board member and vice president for Esports Ohio for a long time and will be speaking on how to set up your school for streaming. He will talk about how to get your kids involved in the streaming process. 

Chris McClellan is the president and founder of the middle school division. He will talk about how important it is to begin a middle school program that will help develop your program from the ground up. 

Coach Nevino Director of esports at Otterbein college will be speaking on toxicity and conflict during practice and competition. How to model good competitive behavior during both. 

Coach Walt from Goshen will help new and experienced coaches with the basics and strategies of Apex Legends. He will give detailed strategies that work for both types of players and how to handle those practices. 

Coach Hirshfelt from Akron STEM will help coaches understand the strategies needed to be successful in Overwatch 2. He will give a breakdown on what to do during practices and how to improve each class. 

Coach Jon from Dublin Coffman will be speaking on the strategies necessary to have a successful Super Smash Brothers team. He will talk about how to handle practices and characters used in matches. 

Coach McClellan will be speaking on the importance of fundraising for your team and how to develop incoming funds to support your team's needs for equipment and or fees for your team. 

Coach Sharaba (Avon) will be speaking on how to practice and compete in Mario Kart. He will show you how to develop your practices. He will show you how to choose the right equipment for your racers to be successful during competition.
